Douro Railway Line, Portugal

The Douro Line is a railway in northern Portugal, connecting Oporto to Pocinho, that for much of its route runs close to the River Douro. This route offers fantastic scenic views of the river and the surrounding hills, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. There are some places along the route that are worth visiting, like Régua and Pinhão. This line was built between 1875 and 1887.
