Casa del Mitreo, Merida, Spain

The Casa del Mitreo is a house from the Roman period, built sometime in the late 1st century or early 2nd century. It had three peristyles (open patios surrounded by columns) and rooms decorated with magnificent frescoes and mosaics.
Evidence was found of the Mythra cult, which explains the house's designation.
